Pienza

Iconic village of the Val d’Orcia, a real Renaissance jewel, a UNESCO heritage site. Conceived, desired and built by the future Pope Pius II to whom the main square, Piazza Pio II, is dedicated. Here you will find cathedrals, museums, palaces such as the Palazzo Piccolomini museum which offers a wonderful view of Monte Amiata. Pienza and its surroundings are all to be discovered, in fact among the characteristic alleys full of flowered balconies and the craft shops you will find some of the most romantic streets in Italy: Via del Bacio, Via dell’Amore, Via della Fortuna leading onto a terrace with a breathtaking view over the Val d’Orcia.
